Happy Mother's Day!

Well, Mother's day didn't exactly turn out like I had hoped. I invisioned myself tucked away in my scrapbooking room working on some pages of my babies that are long over due to be finished up, while Dan puttered in the garden and all was well. But..instead I spent the morning at a local laundromat washing sopping wet clothes from a water heater leak! Let me just say, there are some pretty interesting characters at a laundromat on Mother's Day! Not having used a facility such as this for almost two decades, I'm sure that everyone in the place could smell the newbie! There were machines that could honestly hold up to 40lbs of clothes! Who brings 40 pounds of laundry? One character that stood out from the rest was a big guy who took great pride in folding his over sized undershorts! I do believe I am emotionaly scared for life! Then there were the "laundry pros" who swept in, put their clothes in machines, ran out the door, only to return precisely when the wash cycle ended and repeated the process for the drying cycle. There was also a pacer, who mades so many laps around the place I truly began thinking he was training for a marathon! As for me, I cowered in the corner and as soon as the wash cycle was finished I put my wet clothes in a basket and ran to my car and headed home to dry them, 40 minutes in that place was enough for me! What an interesting Mother's Day!!

My daughter's best friend is getting married soon and this Saturday the girls are having a lingerie bridal shower. So I got asked to make cookies....I think they turned out pretty cute!

Scrapbooking....

I've decided to take a more active role in keeping my blog updated. So being in March I'm going to start posting more about the things I do on my days off. I'm passion is making scrapbooks of my children's lives and I will start to publish pictures of some of my favorite pages. When the weather is cooperating I love spending time in the Badlands rockhunting with my friend of 40 years....geez makes us sound old! : 0 I also enjoy golfing and doing Tae Kwon Do (which I haven't done much of as of late). So here I go....to my new beginning of becoming a more active blogger!

Beautiful end to Memorial Day!

I think God and all the Vets decided to do a show Monday evening. The clouds were huge and so beautiful. Even when the were just pure white and all billowy. But the breathe taking view can at dusk when the clouds became so colorful.

Start of a new year...

Well, I haven't been Wii-ing much lately so I've decided that I need to get going again. I got on last night and worked out for 25 minutes. I'm going to try to get going every evening like I had been doing. Wish me luck!

One week before Christmas...

I haven't posted anything in a while so I thought it would be a good thing to post an up date. Christmas is just around the corner and we're not even close to being ready. I really dislike shopping (unless it's for myself and especially for scrapbooking supplies). We might have company which would be great so we need to get in gear. We'll have a busy week-end baking,shopping,decorating and cleaning the house. I also need to get cards done if they're going to be sent. I seem to get later and later every year! Does this have something to do with age....hmmmm? Thought I'd share a few pictures of the deer that live in our back yard. They're huge.
